RECOMMENDATIONS

Martin Morris, Creative Director, New Era Cap

Blake is an absolute powerhouse! Her ability to absorb, fully understand and then strategically manage a multitude of overlapping projects simultaneously, is outstanding. Quite simply I could not satisfy my remit without her support and skills.

New Era has in play an incredibly diverse set of marketing and brand campaigns at any one time. Each of these demanding a knowledge of the various permissions and restrictions associated with licensed product, together with the budget, time and people considerations that go hand-in-hand with a brand of this size and scope. Blake has an inherent genius for wading through these complexities and finding the most suitable path to follow.

Blake is a confident and accomplished manager. She is respected by her peers and direct reports and approaches management with a fair and firm outlook. She also has top of mind a concern for the welfare and health of her team, and a determination to ensure her department runs smoothly and without tension. She likes and encourages a happy team!

Blake puts in the hours! Recently, she took on the enormous task of deeply analyzing New Era’s workflows with a view to creating an improved solution. This was mostly done out of hours away from the day job. This encompassed an almost company-wide analysis of working practices. The eventual work and proposal for improvements presented to the Execs and Directors was fantastically received and will be used to put in place best practices that will set up the brand for future success.

Frankly, Blake would be a fantastic addition to any team or organisation who requires world-class project management and workflow streamlining. I have no hesitation in recommending Blake for any suitable role. It has been a pleasure working alongside her

Lisa Strock, SVP Managing Director, The Martin Group

I have known Blake for several years, first in her role as a Senior Brand Manager at The Martin Group where I served as her supervisor, and more recently in an agency- client relationship where Blake functions as the agency’s main point of contact in her position at New Era Cap, a long-standing client of The Martin Group.

While at The Martin Group, Blake managed and worked day-to-day on New Era Cap, one of our most important client relationships. This was a high-volume account that required Blake to manage several details both with her team at the agency as well coordinating seamlessly with the client, both of which Blake did effortlessly.

As a matter of fact, one of Blake’s inherent strengths is taking a complicated task, whether it’s due to a strained timeline, a multitude of contributors and decision makers to work with, or a complicated process, and finding a solution that provides more efficiency and ultimately a greater end product at the of the day.

And while the above can be very challenging and stressful, Blake always demonstrates a level of calmness and professionalism, setting the tone for her team. This was critical in Blake’s role and both her colleagues and client contacts always recognized her for being level-headed and solution-oriented.

I believe one of the highest forms of a complement is when a client recognizes how invaluable you are to their account. And this is exactly what happened with Blake when she accepted a position at New Era Cap. As our client, Blake always approaches the business relationship with The Martin Group as a partnership. She is fair and thoughtful in both her input and feedback, while managing new and different challenges and rising to the occasion.

In closing, Blake is career minded and driven to add value in whatever role she’s in. She is professional and approachable and takes great pride in the success of her team, her peers and ultimately the impact she has on an organization.

Stephanie Cattarin, Executive Director, Canisius Center for Professional Development

I can honestly say I have not worked with someone as wonderful as Blake in a long time. Blake was the program coordinator at the Center for Professional Development at Canisius College for two years where I was the director.

We were a small team of three but produced the work and results of a much larger department, mostly due to Blake’s impressive work ethic, ability to multitask, attention to detail, and her enthusiasm and energy that motivated all of us. Plus, Blake is just a great person. Kind, funny, authentic, someone you would want as a colleague and a friend. Whether working on a team or leading a team, Blake has my highest recommendation.
